Just something quick to experiment with both characters in action.
I switched up the color scheme for Engineman a bit. Slightly more gray. I think it looks better this way. It lets the fire from the engine breath a bit more.
I did some minor changes to Leech to. Like the Crackle and air bubbles on the solidified blade.
Probably. If I ever get around to writing a first issue of Enigneman, I definitively want Leech to be the antagonist. They are both really good for showcasing each others abilities.
Do you think it'd be a slow and brooding sort of comic build-up then or would it be more high-octane from the start? I picture the first option is probably better to bring across both characters in their full rights and expanding on what makes them special, but the latter is simply too freaking cool to pass up, right? Especially with characters like those.
I would probably start it as a origin story for Leech and just treat Engineman as a well established character in universe. Enginemans back-story is a pill to swallow and I haven't worked it all out yet. Think of it kinda like the first episode of Batman tas. It's all about Manbat and we don't even get an origin story for Bats up until mid season. That way one gets a lot of room to see the character in action and see their respective roll in universe.
Well I often feel it works out better that way. Give me character i want to hear the back story of over one that just shoves it down my throat any day.
true and its fun with certain characters where you gotta make assumptions and you're fed clues as well ^^ those are fun cause you get to invest yourself in the character.
